Warmer Weather = Warmer Hair!
April showers bring May flowers . . . and new hair trends! At Hair Solutions Salon and Spa, a few things have been catching our eye. As the weather warms up, so do hair trends for blondes and brunettes alike.
Creamy blondes, beigey blondes, teddy bear blondes, old money blonde, it all gets so confusing. We’re here to let you in on the thing they all have in common: warmth. The hottest blonde trends of late ALL have warmth! The biggest distinction here is that warm does NOT equal brassy tones–these trendy tones focus on balanced amounts of warmth, giving your hair a natural glow. Natural hair inherently has warmth, making warmer toned blondes look softer on most people AND providing lower maintenance in between appointments!
Our brunettes have been warming up, too! At Hair Solutions, we love ALL our brunettes equally, but warmer tones are definitely what’s hot right now. Instead of ashy toners and cooling down the natural warmth, more and more guests are leaning into their natural tones. Any brunette with dimension knows that keeping up with cool tones can be a bit of a chore–one that is well worth it if you love it!–and warmer tones are so much easier to maintain. Any Old Money Brunette or Mocha or otherwise coffee inspired looks all feature enhancing your natural tresses with just a kiss of warmth.
As for dimension? We’ve been seeing more and more of it in all forms. Extra dimension, or having more than one color in your hair, adds something new to your look without committing to something entirely different. This time of year, we always see people adding pops of brightness, and 2026 is no different! Think a few hand painted balayage pieces to frame your face, a few strategically placed foils on your part to break things up a bit, or a bold money piece to really bring attention to your eyes. And if you’re looking for something even bolder, try color blocking! I’m sure you’ve seen split dye colors or peekaboo colors still lingering on facebook and instagram reels. Color blocking really makes the world your oyster: you can add as little or as much color as you want literally anywhere you want on your whole head! Something we see a lot is a peekaboo or halo placement, where the hair above your ears lays like a veil over your new color; this is great if you want to dip your toes in the dimensional haircolor waters, especially if school or work rules say that you can’t have unnatural hair colors. This way, you get the change you want without entirely getting rid of your natural color!
At Hair Solutions, we make it our mission to keep up to date on the newest hair trends to best serve you and your hair. The forecast this time of year calls for warmth, and we are more than happy to deliver the results you’re looking for!
